The nature is still there and it is never too late to start environmental protection. This original artwork is made with classic cyanotype. One of the hand printed Chinese seal carvings is my signature and the three-word one means ‘Still There’. Cyanotype is a historical, eco-friendly and unconventional craft that requires water and sunlight. It was invented by British scientist Sir John Herschel in 1842 – the same year when Hong Kong opened its doors to the world as British colony (1842 - 1997), embarking on a journey to become the international metropolis it is today. As a Hong Kong artist, I am fortunate to discover the old British art form that closely connects me to the city that I call home. Using cyanotype to make sustainable art, mixed with oriental aesthetics and art techniques, echoes my hybrid identity as Hongkonger. This distinguished connection lets me add uniqueness and a complex layer of culture and history to my artwork.

*As the artwork is handmade, please note there will be a little difference in brush stroke and colour variation. It makes the uniqueness and artistic touch of each piece.
