Materials
The course will begin with making simple coffee ink for which you will need:
Coffee
Clove oil OR a salt and vinegar
You will also need the following to form your book:
Both recycled papers found in the home as well as art papers, and a choice of random sized pages or tidy uniform ones
Muslin and mineral papers (but recycled/reused papers will also work)
Waxed thread and darning needle
Khadi cotton rag or heavy watercolour/cartridge paper
Twig
Ruler
Cutting surface
Clothes pegs
Pencil
String
Book binding awl (or cork & needle)

Nature Walk
Collections from a nature walk (taken from whatever environment you are in. Please make sure you practice responsible foraging):
You should collect an array of items such as acorns, feathers, twigs, moss, shells, soil, sand, flowers to press, etc..
This is a free style of working that does not require drawing skills and encourages experimentation.
