SESSION CONTENT
The two-hour session will introduce participants to the four cardinal directions providing a framework for ecological approaches to collaborating with land.
The four directions have been central to earth-based societies the world over, and provide a way of listening to a more-than-human intelligence that has coincided with cycles of body, land and season over millenia. How can we approach land, place and ecology as a primary collaborator to listen to and be guided by? How can we bring nuance and depth to our dialogue with the land, in order to expand our creative work and form mutually beneficial practices between bodies and nature?
The session will include creative prompts, guided imagery and simple embodied practices.
Please bring a yoga mat or blanket, notebook, colouring pens/pencils or any material you like to make marks with.
As a participant you can bring any aspect of creative practice to work with during the session and will leave with guided audio recordings to continue an inquiry in your own time.
You will gain invaluable tools for enlivening and deepening a creative enquiry with the natural world and your place in it.
